Chief Operating Officer

Pianpian is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at CGSL, overseeing the Center’s operations and the implementation of its strategies towards ensuring efficiency in the actualization of the Center’s vision.

With over thirteen years of experience in environmental law and climate policy, Pianpian Wang brings a distinctive blend of academic rigor and private-sector insight to every engagement. Her expertise spans carbon markets, renewable energy, and corporate sustainability, with a proven track record of helping organizations translate ambitious sustainability goals into actionable strategies.

Pianpian has advised clients across diverse industries—from agile start-ups to global Fortune 500 companies—delivering practical solutions that align with evolving regulations and stakeholder expectations. She believes that business, when guided by responsibility and purpose, can be a powerful catalyst for effective environmental and social governance.

She holds both a Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) and an LL.M. in Environmental Law and Climate Policy from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, as well as a master’s degree in law from Sun Yat-sen University in China. She is also a certified lawyer in China and a member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law.
